Learn to Document and Use Family Traditions
It is said there is a kernel of truth in every family story. After you view this class you will gain new skills to help you decide if that kernel is 10 generations removed from the facts or just a census search away. You will know how to organize and separate fact from fiction in family lore. You will also learn how to use the pieces of information you gather to create research goals and then search them out, one by one.
A case study will show you the process of verifying or disproving the family story using census records, passenger lists, and several other resources.
