Using Maps to Understand Changing Jurisdictions
After viewing this class you will know that records about your ancestors are found in jurisdictions or areas where the records were created as those jurisdictions existed at the time of the events. You will understand the basics of maps and how to use the Newberry Atlas of Historic County Boundaries and Google Earth to visualize the county boundaries at the time an event occurred in your ancestors’ lives.
